Dog Of Honor was founded in 2021 with one simple mission: to help couples include their "firstborn" in one of the most important days of their lives without adding stress to their wedding.
Along the way, we discovered that couples didn't just need someone who loves dogs.
They needed someone who understands weddings.
Someone who can coordinate with planners, photographers, venues, and other vendors. Someone who anticipates problems before they happen. Someone who quietly manages the countless details that allow you to stay present with each other while your dog enjoys every moment of the celebration.

Today, Dog Of Honor has grown into a carefully selected team of wedding dog attendants serving couples throughout Northern California.
Every member of our team works from the same standards, preparation, and dog-first philosophy that have guided Dog Of Honor from the beginning.
Together, we've helped more than 400 dogs participate in 250+ weddings at 100+ venues throughout Northern California, from Carmel to San Francisco, Napa, Sacramento, and Lake Tahoe.
We're fully insured, experienced in working alongside your entire vendor team, and committed to creating a seamless experience from your first planning call through your dog's ride home after the celebration.
Our Philosophy

Timelines shift. Weather changes. Dogs get excited, tired, distracted, or occasionally decide a groom's boutonniere looks like a snack.
We follow principles, not scripts.
Every decision we make is guided by the same priorities: your dog’s safety and well-being first, then protecting your wedding experience, preserving your memories, and creating an unforgettable experience for your guests.
That's why we'll sometimes recommend changing the original plan, choosing a more secure harness, giving your dog a quiet break, or providing a comfortable wagon or stroller to enjoy the day in.

Meet the
Chief Wag Officer
Hi, I'm Abigayle.
Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, from my childhood bulldog, Muggles, to my first Golden Retriever, Megan, and now my current Velcro dog, Chloe.
When Chloe isn't joining me at venue tours or wedding open houses (we call it "Bring Your Dogter to Work Day"), you'll usually find us at the local dog park or volunteering with animal welfare organizations.
I founded Dog Of Honor because I believe couples shouldn't have to choose between including their dog in one of life's biggest moments and actually being present to enjoy it.
I also know firsthand that they aren't "just pets." They're family.
It's a privilege to earn the trust of couples who invite us to care for one of the most important members of their family on one of the most important days of their lives.
And it's a responsibility I'll never take for granted.
