Welcome! I’m Abigayle, Chief Wag Officer, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that life (and weddings) are better when shared with a dog.
Dogs have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. My very first fur friend was Muggles, my childhood bulldog, followed by my first puppy, a Golden Retriever named Megan, and now my current Velcro dog, Chloe. One of the perks of this business is that Chloe often joins me for venue tours and open houses — I like to call it “Bring Your Dogter to Work Day.”
When I’m not at a wedding, you can usually find me at the local dog park or volunteering for animal shelters, helping with everything from fundraising to doggy day outings.
In 2021, I launched Dog of Honor ® Weddings & Events so fellow dog moms and dads could include their “firstborn” in their wedding day, completely stress-free. Drawing on my years in corporate B2B sales, I discovered that my love for connecting people and building relationships was the perfect fit for working with couples, wedding planners, venues, and photographers across Northern California. Because wedding dog chaperone and concierge services are about so much more than simply pet sitting — they’re about seamlessly coordinating with your wedding vendor team to create the best day ever for you and for your pup.
Today, with the help of our amazing “pack” of wedding dog chaperones, we’ve had the joy of chaperoning over 300 dogs at more than one hundred venues, from Carmel to San Francisco, Napa, Sacramento, and Tahoe.
And in 2025, we’ll be celebrating a huge milestone—our 200th wedding!
